In Episode 4, recorded in Hong Kong in February 2021, Christel video phones British filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist Danny Sangra. 

With his distinctly funny, stylised takes on eerie and pointy truths, Danny creates illustrations and installations, and directs commercials for some of the loftiest brands out; and aside from his own debut feature-length film, has shot many a short film with and for many a famous name. His mum also happens to be Jewish of Russian/Polish descent, and his dad happens to be Sikh born in Kenya of Indian descent.

This episode dives into the exact moment Danny realised that he had more than one identity, what one of the highest forms of paying respect to another culture is, and why transparency about money – or lack thereof – is a conversation that needs to be had in the creative world.
